jamieross103 Sometimes BBQ joints surprise you—in both good and not-so-good ways. Unfortunately, Motherwell’s BBQ fell into the latter category for me.
Let’s just say this was a 5/10 at best. It’s the kind of place you might stop at if you’re starving and it’s the only option around, but not one you’d go out of your way for.
The meats lacked the depth and character you expect from Texas barbecue. Nothing was outright terrible, but nothing stood out either. The seasoning was bland, the texture inconsistent, and the overall experience just felt… forgettable.
No standout sides. No “gotta try” item. Just a meal that fills your stomach, not your soul.
Final Thoughts
If you happen to drive by and you’re really hungry, it’ll do. But if you’re looking for anything close to memorable barbecue, there are better options worth your time (and your appetite). Motherwell’s has potential, but as of now, it’s not living up to it.
