jamieross103 One of the oldest distilleries in Kentucky and one of my favourite to visit. It is a big distillery and all their products are made here. It was a great tour about 1 hour long and some find whiskey/bourbon to taste at the end.
The walk around the distillery and to see all the black buildings which are that colour due to a fungus created by the sugar leaving the smoke stacks.
They have launched Makers 46 which has a French Oak stave placed in the barrel to add a little pepper and flavour.
Then once you have been around the distillery and barrel storage houses it is time to do the tasting. All 4 were given as a taste.
Then you walk through a strange room that that has glass ornaments on the top. Really weird to see but that was Margerie’s dreams.
Once through this room you reach the gift shop where you can buy a bottle and dip it yourself for free !
