jamieross103 I had high hopes for the bbq joint as it was a Top 25 in Texas in 2019…. sadly it is not anymore. I always worry when you cannot smell smoke upon arrival and I was first in line when it opened.
So I walk inside and there was only one other person behind in line at 11am … another worry for a Top 25. The inside is nice with the original food truck as the serving hatch.
So I order my usual … brisket, ribs and sausage and beans. Sadly again the Brisket was tasteless, no smoke ring or taste and the rub was light. Meat was cooked well but the fat was fat and not tasty at all. The ribs were a little hard and not fall of the bone, the rub again was just a rub of some pepper maybe…. the sausage was good sausage but again no smoke just sausage flavours. The beans were the best part…. shame I left it 2 years too late to visit.
