jamieross103 We all know this is a chain style BBQ place but when they have a Top 10 spot in the Texas Monthly based out of Tyler, I was sure this would be good BBQ still even though a branch away. I will say it was OK, maybe even good but certainly not the best around. Very Friendly staff, great atmosphere and very very patriotic as the pictures below show.
Anyway, on to the food. Brisket had a great tasty bark, the fat was delicious too but the meat quality was not the highest and had a strange taste to the rub that I was not a fan of but still tasted great. I got some Burnt Ends that were certainly Burn’t Ends but did have a slight gasoline after-taste to them. Mac N Cheese was so so. The HOT Links sausages were the best thing in my opinion, the regular sausage was nothing special. So I guess I got what I expected from a chain-style BBQ place.
