Saint- Emilion Restaurant – Fort Worth , Texas

When our Uber finally found the restaurant it is like stepping back in time and you feel you are in France. The building is typically French and sits between a lot of Car Parks- but when you walk inside it is like being in France. I have spent a lot of time in France, my parents live there and this dinner is as close if not exactly the same as what you would get in France !

So the menu is limited right now for to It only reopening last week after it was closed due to COVID. So they offer a 3 course menu (typically French) and you can add extra courses as you please.

They offer traditional aperitifs …. one o may favourites is Pastis !

We opted for the extra portions of Escargot and Crab and Lobster Salad as, you do not need two, these appetisers are huge- perhaps sharing was the best way. Either way the escargot were garlic and oil and yummy and the salad was fresh and served in a Tomato… uniquely French.

Next was the First course from the Fixed Menu. The Crudités were perfectly French, meats and raw vegetables Some pickled and some artichoke tapinard … divine food but remember traditionally French.

And the French Onion soup which was a homemade recipe and was delicious.

Next up were the main courses which to be honest were too big, each one could fill two people. I had the Lamb which was fatty really with potatoes but that is the French style and Jen had the vegetable lasagne. Tasty but this is not fine dining, more rural style country food.

We never got the cheese and dessert courses as we were too full! This is a good place to go and eat traditional French cuisine. Wines listed below.
